SANDPOINT — Ask most guys whether they’re up for a day at the spa, and chances are you’ll be met with blank stares.

I confess, I was one of them. I can’t say taking an afternoon for facials, sauna and massage was the last way I would choose to spend an afternoon — more accurate to say it probably wouldn’t have crossed my mind in the first place. So it was an entirely novel experience when Dauray Owens, owner of Wildflower Day Spa, invited me to see what a day at the spa really meant.

Sandpoint OKs downtown street changes

SANDPOINT — The City Council approved a plan Wednesday to convert Fifth Avenue to two-way operation between Cedar and Pine streets.
