COEUR d'ALENE - Devin Kluss pitched a complete game, struck out 11 and allowed three hits, as the Coeur d'Alene Lumbermen beat the Missoula Prospects 10-2 in their second game of the day at the Best of the Northwest wood-bat tournament Friday at Thorco Field.
"It took him a while to get going," Coeur d'Alene coach Zach Clanton said. "He seemed to find a little bit of a groove. It started to click for him."
Coeur d'Alene scored six runs in the top of the fourth inning to take an 8-2 lead.
"The team hit really well," Clanton said. "As a whole, everyone hit very well in the fourth. It was good to see them explode for a big inning."

Cody Garza had two hits and Dominic Conigliaro had two RBIs for the Lums.
The Lumbermen finished third in their pool and resume play today in the championship bracket. They will play the Spokane Expos in a quarterfinal game at 1 p.m. at Thorco Field.
