Alice in Wonderland play in Troy
In case you missed the Libby performances this last weekend, the Pitiful Player Productions will again be performing “Alice in Wonderland” in Troy on Friday, July 4 at the Lincoln Theatre. Shows are at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Navigation class offered in Libby
There are still a few openings for the Reading Maps, Compass, Tracks and Signs program at the First Montana Bank on June 28.
The outdoor educational program, sponsored by the Montana Wilderness Association, will be taught by Brian Baxter and will include half-day instruction in the classroom, before heading into the field to practice basic techniques and the basics of animal tracking.
Baxter has skill and experience in teaching remote orientation, land surveying, and has been a conservation educator for more than 15 years.
Cost of the class is $8. The class will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Dress appropriately for the field trip and bring lunch, water and personal gear.

Food program continues in July
Libby Public Schools is reminding the community of its sponsorship of the Summer Food Service Program.
The Summer Food Service Program is a U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Child Nutrition Program that provides free, nutritious meals to children when school is not in session.
Breakfast and lunch meals will be provided for all children 18 years of age or younger. Adults are welcome to purchase breakfast for $2 and lunch for $3.50.
The program continues at Libby Elementary School until June 26. Hours are 8 a.m. to 8.30 a.m. and noon to 12.30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
The program also continues at Kootenai Valley Christian School until July 31, from 8 a.m. until 9 a.m. and from noon until 1 p.m.
Soccer Camp coming to Libby
Lincoln County Youth Soccer Association has teamed up to host a week-long British soccer camp during the week of July 14-18, at the J. Neils Memorial Park soccer fields.
The camp will run Monday through Friday. Each child will be coached by a member of challenger’s British coaching staff, which has held 2,000 British soccer camps and has coached more than 100,000 players between the ages of 4 and 18 and more than 20,000 parents and coaches.
Each camper will receive a free camp t-shirt, soccer ball, giant soccer poster and an individual skills performance evaluation.
In addition, any child who signs up online at least 45 days prior to camp will receive a genuine British Soccer replica jersey (value $39). Space is limited – parents are encouraged to sign up online in advance to avoid disappointment.

Troy Softball Takes Two From Drummond
The Drummond High School softball team rolled into Troy Saturday with high hopes of ending a long streak of being on the wrong end of the score, and for half of the first game of the doubleheader, looked like they had every chance of doing just that. However the host Trojans exploded for nine runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, and then shut down Drummond in the top of the fifth, winning 14-3. Troy kept the bats hot in the second game, plating 21 runs to end that game early as well, 21-11.
Action on Quiet Waters Initiative expected May 26
The Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission will act on the Quiet Waters rule proposal in a meeting rescheduled for 8:30 a.m. May 26 at Montana WILD.
