160-foot cell phone tower proposed for Woods Bay

A 160-foot cell phone tower is being proposed near Woods Bay, but few details are available on the project.

Cellco Partnership, doing business as Verizon Wireless, is proposing to build a 160-foot “self-support communications tower” in the vicinity of Sylvan Drive.

Verizon Wireless spokesperson Meagan Dorsch said they are at the very beginning of the development procedures and she had few details about when and where the cell phone tower would be built.

A legal notice that ran in the Daily Inter Lake and Bigfork Eagle is part of their “regulatory approvals process as we work to expand our network for the benefit of our customers,” she said. The legal ad asked for public comment but no details were available on the project.
