LEWISTON - Leadoff hitter Bryan Howell went 3 for 4 with two runs scored in Prairie's 10-7 win over the Lewis-Clark Twins in the first game of a class AA North Idaho League doubleheader Tuesday at Lewis-Clark State College's Harris Field.

Coeur d'Alene 2-2
COEUR d'ALENE - First-year Coeur d'Alene Lumbermen "AA" coach Zach Clanton has found a sparkplug to his offense in a player that might not usually be counted upon.
Reggie Nault, a freshman at Coeur d'Alene High, hit a two-run double in the first game and drove in another run of the second game for the Lumbermen in the nonleague doubleheader loss to the Spokane Bandits at Thorco Field.
"Reggie continues to be a sparkplug in the lineup," Clanton said of Nault. "It's really surprising to see some of the other players look up to him as a freshman. He plays the game so hard, it's tough to ignore it. But he's one of the guys that makes our offense run."
The Bandits limited Coeur d'Alene to three hits in the first game.
"Overall, I thought we were a little sluggish in the first game," Clanton said. "It took us a while to realize we were there, but it was good to see guys like that because they will make us better in the long run."
Jonny Plum had an RBI single in the first inning of the second game for Coeur d'Alene (10-15), which travels to Prairie for a doubleheader today in North Idaho League play starting at 3 p.m.
