District, charter school re-evaluating relationship

SANDPOINT — Forrest M. Bird Charter School and Lake Pend Oreille School District officials are re-evaluating their relationship following proposed changes to the school’s charter.

Charter school administrator Alan Millar asked the LPOSD board Tuesday to accept a revised version of the school’s charter. While trustees made no decisions, they will eventually decide whether to renew the contract with the charter school for another three years — the initial term defined by recently-adopted state laws.
