Meyer tabbed as

AFL Week 15 MVP

CHICAGO - Spokane Shock quarterback Erik Meyer has been named the Arena Football League MVP for Week 15 of the season.

Meyer, from Eastern Washington, threw for three touchdowns and rushed for three more in Spokane's 70-30 home win over the San Antonio Talons last Friday. In his first start since suffering a broken collarbone on May 4, Meyer returned to break his own single-season franchise record for rushing scores by recording his 16th of the year last week.

Meyer received 52 percent of the fan vote, beating out former Shock QB Nick Davila of Arizona and Tommy Grady of Cleveland.

Spokane travels to Anaheim to face the LA KISS on Saturday (7 p.m., ESPN2).
