Pledges help SIDS foundation

I am writing to once again thank our beautiful community for their love and support!

Dr. Tom and Dr. Joe Tessendorf of Tessendorf Family Chiropractic collected more than $2,300 in pledges before running Coeur d'Alene Marathon in honor of the Inland Northwest SIDS Foundation. This was our largest donation ever!

Many helped with forfeited animals

The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office would like thank the numerous volunteers and businesses that assisted in the care of more than 100 animals seized in an abuse investigation that started in January 2014. This case has been adjudicated and the forfeited animals were put up for adoption to the public. We are pleased to say that animals have been adopted out and re-homed.

The following individuals assisted with the transporting, care of and allowed the use of their personnel equipment during the six month period that the Sheriff's Office had to care for the animals. Due to the assistance provided by these individuals and businesses, the animals involved received care and regained their health before their adoptions to new homes.
