RONAN — Ronan senior Ryan Pablo has committed to continue his baseball career at Dawson Community College come fall.

Pablo is entering his third season with the Mission Valley Mariners American Legion program, primarily as a third basemen, shortstop and pitcher. He said he doesn’t know how the Buccaneers plan to use him on the diamond.

Pablo is excited about his prospects to play early, though, which factored into his decision.

“They are pretty old at my positions this year,” he noted.

Another factor in the decision was Dawson coach Aaron Carroll’s connections around college baseball.

“[I liked] the possibilities of playing past the junior college level with all of Coach Carroll’s experience and relationships with bigger schools,” Pablo said.
