Doris June (Huston) Scott, 81

Doris June (Huston) Scott, 81, of Pablo, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Feb. 23, 2014, at St. Luke Hospital in Ronan. 

Born June 18, 1932, to Stephen Albert Huston and Dora Belle Fox in Everett, Wash., she moved to Montana at a very young age and grew up in the Bigfork and Creston area. 

Doris married Clayton Allan Scott on Easter Sunday, April 9, 1950, in Kalispell. They later moved to Pablo, where Clayton worked for the state of Montana as a horticultural inspector. Doris worked at Hanson and Granley Hardware store in Ronan for many years.

Doris “is joining in heaven” her beloved husband, Clayton; her father, Stephen; her mother, Dora; brothers, Robert “Bud” Huston, Lester LeRoy Huston and Norman Lee Huston; sisters, Vera Sampson and Ella Mae Heuscher; and her oldest son, Frank Edwin Scott. 

She is survived by one sister, Beverly Loehr, of Payson, Ariz.; a brother, Marion, and Janet Huston, of Richland, Mont.; a sister-in-law, Helen Meston, of Tees, Alberta; two sons, Gerald Jay and Christine Scott of Kalispell, and Clay Allan Scott of Pablo; one daughter, Nancy Jane, and Henry Pieper, of Polson; seven granddaughters, Sylvia Rai and Chuck Webb of Ronan, Amy Lynette and Drew Miller of Evansville, Ind., Julie Ann and Canyon Smith, Traci Diane and Matt Bean, and Joni Marie and Ryan Mitchell, all of Kalispell, Brenda Lee and Jamie Shepard, Sarah Lynn and Nathan Lamphere of Polson; three grandsons, Tucker Johns Scott of Kalispell, Scott Emil and Brooke Pieper of Hatch, Utah, and Adam John and Michelle Pieper of Great Falls; 24 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. 

She was respected and loved as a friend, employee, sister, wife, aunt, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed. 

A memorial service will be held in Doris' honor at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Polson. A reception will follow at the church.
