President reinforces bully tactics used by warming supporters

I am not surprised Eric Grimsrud chose to ignore the entire point of my previous letter on climate change. My point was that the bully tactics used to silence scientists and professors who do not agree with the global-warming theory are unacceptable.
Our president and vice-president just re-affirmed my point with their recent statements, again calling skeptic scientists “deniers” and “flatlanders” and continuing their insistence the science is settled. John Kerry went as far as to say climate change is a weapon of mass destruction!
Mr. Grimsrud refuses to discuss this environment inside of the government and scientific community, which represses and retaliates against scientists who even dare to express skepticism of the global-warming theory.
How long are we going to be the victim of fear tactics developed by a partnership between science and government to promote this political agenda? Our government continues to expand its power through purse strings into academia and places such as the National Academy of Science, NASA and NOAA. In this current environment, science is not free but shackled and manipulated.
The body of scientific knowledge at any point in history, including now, is simply the collection of theories and views of the world just waiting for new discoveries. I look at it as a pond. If fresh discoveries and perspectives are not allowed to enter the pond it becomes stagnant and will form a layer of scum, corruption, which will not let any light in for new discoveries and growth of understanding.
Mr. Grimsrud said inaccuracies should be called out yet his hypocrisy is glaring. The IPCC and other scientists in support of this agenda refuse to acknowledge any of the inaccuracies within their own models and reports. New data and reports are ignored or repressed.
As far as Mr. Grimsrud’s stated dire consequences of the increase in carbon dioxide, many believe the implementation of this political agenda will have the direst consequences of all with negligible benefits. We must never allow scientists with divergent views to be silenced by government or academia.
