Local receives scholarship

PLAINS - Melinda Ann Kline, Plains, has received a $1,800 P.E.O. Continuing Education Grant (PCE) to finish Highway Construction Training classes at Salish Kootenai College (SKC) in Pablo. Melinda will complete a one-year technical program at SKC leading to work in the construction industry at the end of spring quarter 2014.

Philanthropic Education Organization (P.E.O.) Chapter BY in Polson sponsored Melinda for the PCE Grant. P.E.O. is an international women’s organization that provides financial support for education for women through awards, grants, loans, scholarships and stewardship of Cottey College in Nevada, Missouri.
