A young Kalispell men accused of a string of burglaries in Bigfork has pleaded not guilty to a bevy of charges.
Severin Gislason, 18, entered the pleas Thursday in Flathead District Court to six counts of felony burglary and one count of felony deceptive practices.
A court document alleges Gislason and 18-year-old Shane Christensen burglarized Bigfork United Rentals, The Senior Center, Albiero Chiropractic, Waterstreet Co., Clayton’s Dentist Office and Nielsen Electric overnight Feb. 18.
Among the items stolen were cash drawers and a credit card, which was taken from the rental business.
Flathead County Sheriff Chuck Curry said the credit card was used to put $5,000 into one of the men’s PayPal accounts and that they then used the card for an additional $3,000 to $4,000 in purchases.
If convicted of all seven charges, Gislason faces up to 130 years in the Montana State Prison as well as a fine of up to $350,000 as well as restitution.
Gislason initially was incarcerated in the Flathead County Detention Center, where his bond was set at $60,000, but he was released on informal house arrest by Justice of the Peace Mark Sullivan.
Curry said deputies are still looking for Christensen and they have no new leads on his whereabouts.
Anyone with information on his possible location are asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 758-5585 or Flathead Crimestoppers at 752-8477.
