SANDPOINT — City and Bonner General Hospital officials may strike upon a mutually-beneficial relationship to improve Third Avenue.

A majority of council members voted Wednesday to include Third Avenue between Cedar and Alder streets — the site of the forthcoming hospital expansion building — in the city’s downtown streets guide.

While the action is more a formality, city officials said it could be a precursor to an up-to $240,000 Sandpoint Urban Renewal Agency grant for the hospital to construct public improvements.
