A Kalispell man is facing a trio of charges after allegedly assaulting his wife and children.

Jared Allen, 45, pleaded not guilty Thursday in Flathead District Court to felony assault on a minor and misdemeanor counts of partner or family member assault and criminal destruction of or tampering with a communication device.

A court document alleges Allen got into an argument with his wife on Nov. 26, 2013, and his 13-year-old daughter told him she hated him.

Allen is accused of chasing the girl into her bedroom, shoving her and causing her to hit her head and begin bleeding from her nose and mouth.

Allen then allegedly shoved his wife out of the room, causing her to fall on a coffee table and later hitting her in the face when she tried to grab their daughter and leave.

When his wife grabbed a phone and tried to call 911, Allen allegedly ripped the phone cord out of the wall.

He was arrested, booked at the county jail and released on his own recognizance.

His next hearing is set for June 11.
