COEUR d'ALENE - Instead of clearing his head, a Coeur d'Alene man got a headache Thursday morning when his vehicle became stuck at the top of Best Hill.
According to Kootenai County Sheriff's Lt. Stu Miller, early Thursday morning the man attempted to drive his Dodge Durango up a goat trail on Best Hill, just east of 15th Street.
"He wanted to get a better view of the city and clear his head after an argument with his girlfriend," Miller said.
However, the Durango slid down the hill and got stuck. Miller said that a bus driver alerted authorities to the situation this morning when he saw the vehicle in a "precarious position."
Deputies were dispatched to Best Hill, where they made contact with the man, who was still sitting in his car. According to Miller, officers facilitated a tow on the Durango and the man was uninjured.
"It was just a guy who decided to put his car in a place where it didn't belong," Miller said.
