SANDPOINT — A five-day jury trial in the city’s lawsuit against the Independent Highway District is being pushed back to the fall.

The trial was to be held in 1st District Court later this month, but is being rescheduled to accommodate additional pretrial wrangling in the case. The proceedings are now set for October, according to court documents.

Counsel for the district and the city moved jointly to postpone the trial while the parties contemplate an appeal of an unspecified order in the case.
