Vikings take two against WolfPack

MOSES LAKE - Big Bend baseball (6-1) continued its torrid non-league stretch with two more wins over Thompsons River.
The Vikings' latest wins move Big Bend to 5-0 on the year against the WolfPack.
Big Bend's offense continued to flourish against Thompsons River with wins of 13-5 and 11-2.
During Friday's first game, Big Bend trailed 5-1 entering the bottom of the fifth inning before charging back to take the lead behind an eight run inning.
With two outs and only one run on the board in the fifth, it looked as if Big Bend would be unable to put together a rally to regain the lead against Thompsons River.
However, Big Bend was able to load the bases and score seven runs with two outs.
Once again, Dylan Signorelli starred for the Vikings finished 3-4 with five RBIs and two runs scored. Signorelli accounted for half of the Vikings' 10 RBIs.
The Vikings had no intention of coming from behind in the second half of their doubleheader against the WolfPack. After three scoreless innings, Big Bend notched two runs each in the fourth and the fifth before blowing the game open with a five-run sixth.
The Viking offense exploded for 20 hits and the defense was just as stellar, recording no errors.
Signorelli continued his hot stretch with four hits and two RBIs. KJ Herbert and Adam Munoz also totalled two RBIs each.
Big Bend will play a four-game set against Olympic College March 22 and 23 before opening Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges (NWAACC) East region play against Yakima Yalley.
The Yaks should be a good test for a Big Bend club that has yet to face a team over .500.
Big Bend softball's two games against Walla Walla University were cancelled this weekend.
