FEMA grant being sought

SANDPOINT — Bonner County is seeking another federal grant in a bid to resolve a floodway development violation that poses a threat to flood insurance rates for landowners.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency has turned down a $677,000 grant request to purchase the property and level the home. The grant was sought through the agency’s flood mitigation program.
