Telluride Mountainfilm on Tour
O’Shaughnessy Center in Whitefish, tonight, 7 p.m.
The Telluride Mountainfilm Festival is a four-day event held each Memorial Day weekend in Telluride, Colo., and each year, Mountainfilm on Tour takes a selection of outstanding films from the Telluride festival on the road. The event is sponsored by the Bob Marshall Wilderness Foundation, and will also feature a preview of “Untrammeled,” a youth and wilderness film created in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Wilderness Act and creation of the Bob Marshall Wilderness.
Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $12 in advance and are online at www.bmwf.org, or at Rocky Mountain Outfitter in Kalispell (752-2446) or Sportsman & Ski Haus in Whitefish (862-3111). ‘FVCC’s Got Talent’
Flathead Valley Community College, Arts and Technology building, Friday, 6 p.m.
Flathead Valley Community College Student Government will present the fifth annual event, in which FVCC students will showcase their talents as they compete for cash prizes.
Talents will range from singing and playing instruments to glow-in-the-dark dancing and a humorous monologue performance.
Tickets are $5 for general admission and may be purchased in advance at the FVCC Bookstore or by calling 756-3387. Remaining tickets will be available for purchase at the door.

‘Bye Bye Birdie’
Columbia Falls High School Little Theatre, Friday and Saturday, 7 p.m.
Thirty-nine actors and 18 musicians take the spotlight in this classic satire on American society. “Bye Bye Birdie” is set in 1958, with a plot inspired by Elvis Presley’s draft notice into the Army in 1957. The story centers on a rock-and-roll singer going off to the Army, and the event’s effects on a group of teenagers in a small town. The production is directed by Matt Ford. Karen Ulmer, Columbia Falls band director, has prepared the student band for the show, with choir teacher Jennifer Stephens directing the singers.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students, with free admission for those 5 and under.
Talent Night 2014
Flathead High School, Friday, 7 p.m.
The Flathead High School International Baccalaureate Programme is hosting a schoolwide talent show to benefit local and global children in crisis.
Students auditioned to participate in order to present a great evening of entertainment for a good cause. All of the proceeds will be given to The Abby Shelter and to UNHCF, the U.N. relief fund for children in Syria’s refugee camps.
Tickets are $5 for students and $7 for adults. Additional donations will be accepted.
