John Broers

John Andrew Broers, 69, passed away March 14, 2014.

He was born Nov. 20, 1944. He graduated from Conrad High School in Conrad and attended the University of Montana. He served in the U.S. Army Airborne.

John worked as a powder master in California, Alaska and Montana, and was owner of Stanton Creek Lodge and Outfitters for 10 years. He retired in Martin City.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Bernice Broers, and father, Henry Broers.

John is survived by his son Jeremy Broers, of Hemingford, Neb.; daughter Tonya Broers, of Loma, Colo.; five grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia Miller, of Henniker, N.H., and Susan Mohnasky, of Canterbury, Conn.; and one brother, Henry Broers II, of Hungry Horse.

A memorial service will be held for John in June 2014.
