Geoffrey Ryan 'Jeff' Brinton, 65

Geoffrey Ryan “Jeff” Brinton, 65, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, in Kalispell.

He was born Oct. 6, 1948, in Libby to Richard and Kathryn Neils Brinton.  At age 14, the family moved to Eureka and resided at the 69 Ranch. Jeff loved the ranch and his claim to fame was his avid passion for duck hunting. He also did ranch duties and carpentry.

He married Jan Joyce Nov. 15, 1975, at Kalispell.

His many hobbies included wood carving, making model airplanes and telling jokes and stories. He was a Christian and loved the Lord and His word. He made many Bible studies and shared them with his friends.  

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Brinton; and a brother, Paul Taylor “Jake” Brinton.

Survivors include his three children, Leslie Littlefield and husband Aric of Missoula, Michael Brinton and wife Ann of North Carolina, and Rebecca Brinton of Kalispell; his mother, Kathryn Brinton, of Eureka; sisters, Barbara Price of Kalispell, Marti Bushfield and husband Mike of Eureka, and Jeanne Montoya and husband Rich of Federal Way, Wash.; a brother, Robert Brinton, and wife, Penny, of Kalispell; seven grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p. m., Saturday, May 10, at the Chapel of Praise, south of Eureka on Highway 93.

Arrangements are by Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Eureka.
