Kelley Brown with the eland he shot while hunting in north central Namibia, Africa close to Etosha National Park. Brown said the eland was the premiere animal of those he harvested while on the 10-day plains game hunt.

The 2011 Salvation Army Kettle Drive produced a total of $10,776.48. This amount was $4,700 more than was collected in 2010 with 90 percent of the funds raised staying in Lake County.
