ST. REGIS – An early morning accident on April 23 slowed traffic to one lane for several hours on Interstate 90.

At approximately 5:33 a.m., a semi truck lost control and slid down the median on its side on eastbound I-90. There were no injuries and no other vehicles were affected by the crash, according to Officer Darlene Lee of the Montana Highway Patrol. The cause of the accident is inattentive driving as the truck drifted off the road and lost control. Mounds of dirt could be seen piled up behind the truck, which dug up several feet of the median from the impact.

Drivers could see the crash after the St. Regis exit and just before exit 37 at Sloway. Multiple towing companies arrived on scene to assist with a lane closure and to get the truck upright again.
