Troy High School students recently concluded their 10th annual Wings fundraising competition. Students this year raised $2,790, raising the grand total raised by Troy students to $37,622. This year, the freshman class raised the most money, thereby earning a field trip day for the entire class. Donna Havens and Kathy Dunham, of Wings, accepted the donation from freshmen Sarah Pierce, Riley Burk, Jasmine Barnes, Allie Brown and Kylie Carr.

The 2011 Salvation Army Kettle Drive produced a total of $10,776.48. This amount was $4,700 more than was collected in 2010 with 90 percent of the funds raised staying in Lake County.
