Air Force general visits Malmstrom

GREAT FALLS (AP) — Maj. Gen. Jack Weinstein says a number of changes have already been implemented at Malmstrom Air Force Base in the wake of drug and cheating investigations.
Weinstein is commander of the 20th Air Force, which oversees Malmstrom.
He visited the Montana base this past week to talk with airmen about their needs and get their feedback.
Weinstein said he’s received positive comments from airmen for various quality-of-life improvements made the base.
He and other Air Force officials are still looking at other incentive options such as incentive pay and deployment credit for time in the missile field.
Airmen also are receiving additional training and evaluation.
Weinstein says the actions have improved morale.
