Polson girls sweep tennis duals, boys split

POLSON — The Polson girls posted two dual wins while the Polson boys split in tennis action on Saturday.
The Polson girls blanked Stevensville 7-0 and topped Columbia Falls 6-1.
Polson’s boys downed Columbia Falls 5-2, but lost to Stevensville 4-3.
The Polson boys were without Brady Hislop and Layne Zimmerman because of illness. Two other varsity players were attending a music festival.
“The kids that filled in today had a great day,” Polson coach Bob Hislop said.
“Tommy Mercer and Tyler Dupuis had an excellent win (6-3, 6-4) against Columbia Falls at No. 1 doubles.”
On the girls side ...
“They had a fabulous day,” Hislop said.
“Karly Rochin and Marlee Congdon had a really nice win (6-2, 6-1) against Columbia Falls at No. 1 doubles. Polson won all but one singles match all day long.”
