Shadow fall in men's soccer opener

SPOKANE - Gibril Freeman scored on an assist from DJ Drevitch in the 69th minute, helping visiting Bellingham United beat the Spokane Shadow 2-1 in the Evergreen Premier League men's soccer opener for both on Saturday night at Spokane Falls Community College.
Nick Hamer, a former Mead High and Gonzaga stadnout, scored on an assist from Mikey Ramos in the 10th minute for Spokane.
Spokane hosts Yakima United FC on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Spokane Falls.
