RATHDRUM - Shayna Woolley hit a three-run walkoff home run in the first game and Kari Prockish hit a grand slam in the first inning of the second for the host Lakeland Hawks, which swept a 4A Inland Empire League doubleheader against the Sandpoint Bulldogs 10-9 and 22-8 on Saturday afternoon to conclude the regular season.

In the Region 1 tournament, Lakeland (9-12, 4-4 4A IEL) will be the second seed and face Sandpoint (3-16, 0-8), the third seed, again on Tuesday at Ghormley Park in Moscow at 3 p.m., with the winner facing top seed Moscow at 5.

"I was really happy with our team for getting the bats going in the first game," Lakeland coach Colleen Bevacqua said. "Hopefully that leads us into Tuesday and we can keep it going. We had to battle into the seventh inning and pull it out, and it carried into the second game. We've got a tough road ahead, but I'm excited to see what we've got in store on Tuesday."

Reilly Williams hit a three-run home run in the fourth inning for Lakeland.

Lucinda Calvert had three hits on the day for Sandpoint.

POST FALLS - Kyra Haskew finished the day 4 for 6 with three home runs and four RBIs for the Trojans, who played well in a 5A Inland Empire League doubleheader loss to the Bengals.

The teams combined to hit six home runs in the regular season finale for both schools.

"The kids got some confidence today," Post Falls coach Jack Foster said. "The kids played really well and gave ourselves a chance to win, in both games. I'm proud of the kids. This week, we've played a lot better. It would have been easy for the kids to just show up and give up, but we've definitely gotten better."

Paige Wells went 5 for 5 with five RBIs and three runs scored in the first game for Lewiston (10-8, 4-8 5A IEL), which faces Lake City in the opening round of the Region 1 tournament on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Canfield Middle School.

Brooke Bowers hit a three-run home run in the sixth inning of the first game for Post Falls (1-19, 0-12), which plays at Coeur d'Alene in its regional opener on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
