A pistol-packing, patience-lacking driver

Kalispell Police got a report Sunday about a road rage incident involving a pistol being brandished in the vicinity of First Avenue West. A man said a man in another vehicle made an obscene gesture at the reporting party, then honked and flashed the pistol.

Two children’s bikes were stolen from a yard on Fifth Avenue East.

A woman calling from College Avenue said she had just been assaulted by her ex-boyfriend.

After three women caused a disturbance outside a store on Hutton Ranch Road, they were permanently prohibited from returning.

A woman calling from a residence on First Avenue West said that a neighbor who lives below keeps pounding on the ceiling.

Around 3 a.m. Monday, there was a report of suspicious activity in the area of the Evergreen Junior High School, where a window had been broken. After a foot pursuit, a man was caught and arrested.

There was a report of a man shoplifting at a store on U.S. 93 South.

A person calling from Fifth Avenue East reported a theft of a four-wheeler from a carport.

A woman reported coming home to her Eighth Street West home and being surprised by the smell of marijuana. She found that the house had been ransacked, with some belongings stolen.

A Sixth Avenue East resident reported the theft of a collectible bicycle.


A woman called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office at 7:30 a.m. from a Springhill Road residence asking if anything could be done about a neighbor who starts up heavy equipment on Sunday mornings.

There was a report of a motorcycle being stolen from the Hungry Horse motocross track.

A person calling from Fourth Street South in Martin City reported that a rock was thrown through a vehicle window.

After a disturbance between a man and a woman on Lake Five Road, the two were separated for the day.

There was a report of a window being shot out and two tires slashed on a pickup off U.S. 2 in Hungry Horse.

A man who was shouting and threatening people, and proclaiming he was God almighty and Jesus was picked up from a location on U.S. 2 in Marion and taken to the Kalispell hospital for a mental health evaluation.

A man calling from a residence on Montana 35 in Evergreen said that a man who lives nearby punched the reporting party in the head. That event apparently followed as a result of their significant others fighting with each other.

The manager of a store on U.S. 2 east of Kalispell detained a man for shoplifting.


A woman calling Whitefish Police from a residence on Park Avenue Sunday asked for assistance with neighbors that have been repeatedly parking in front of her driveway, blocking her vehicle in.

After a traffic stop on East Sixth Street, a woman was arrested, possibly for drunk driving.

An employee at a motel on Spokane Avenue complained about police officers continuing to bring intoxicated people who can’t pay to the motel.


 

 Columbia Falls Police assisted a person whose car came out of gear and rolled down a hill off Ninth Street West Sunday. The caller initially thought the car was stolen, but she located  it at the bottom of the hill.
