Julie Marie Cuchessi, 53
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 12 years, 5 months AGO
Julie Marie Cuchessi, 53, of Post Falls, passed away April 25, 2014, at the Hospice House of North Idaho with her loving husband Tony by her side.
Julie was born in Claremont, Calif., on April 22, 1961, to Tom and Ellen Roach. She graduated from San Clemente High School in 1979 and went on to attend Saddleback College and the University of Southern California. After school, she worked many years as a dental hygienist in California before moving to North Idaho in 1992. From there, she continued working within the dental field before taking a position at Berg Manufacturing in Spokane as an administrative assistant.
Julie’s knack for interior design and her delicious family meals are still being talked about to this day. Her wittiness and sense of humor brought joy to anyone who was lucky enough to come across her whether you knew her or not. She enjoyed spending days at the beach, gardening, travel and arts and crafts, but above all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Despite the ups and downs of her four year battle with cancer, she never lost her upbeat and unforgettable personality that would undoubtedly light up a room. Dull moments were non-existent as long as Julie was around. In light of everything, the selfless attitude she instilled throughout her wonderful life was truly remarkable. She was always the first to lend a hand without hesitation and expecting nothing in return.
Julie is survived by her husband of 27 years, Tony; her son Nick and daughter Amanda; four sisters, one brother and their families, Kathy Webber and Greg Clover (La Jolla, Calif.), Patty and Bob Delaney (San Marcos, Calif.), Mary Roach, Maureen and Dan Hislop (Santa Barbara, Calif.) and Tom and Pam Roach (Encinitas, Calif.).
A celebration of life was enjoyed on April 26, 2014, at English Funeral Chapel in Post Falls. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice House of North Idaho in memory of Julie.
English Funeral Chapel was entrusted to handle final arrangements. Please visit Julie's online memorial at www.englishfuneralchapel.com.
