Polls open until 8 p.m. today for school elections

Voters go to the polls today to decide funding requests in three Flathead Valley school districts.

Separately, a mail-in election concludes Tuesday for Kalispell Public Schools.

Columbia Falls

The Columbia Falls School District is asking voters to approve a $478,984 general fund levy request for the high school.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Glacier Gateway and Canyon elementary schools and from noon to 8 p.m. at West Glacier Elementary School.

Fair-Mont-Egan

Fair-Mont-Egan School officials are asking voters to approve a five-year $100,000 building reserve levy.

The walk-in election will be conducted noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the school music room. 

Marion

Marion School is requesting a $67,000 technology levy over 10 years and a $33,708 general fund levy.

Voting will take place from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Marion Fire Department, 180 Gopher Lane. 

Kalispell

Meanwhile, a mail-in election wraps up Tuesday for Kalispell Public Schools. 

Voters in the Kalispell elementary and high school districts have until 8 p.m. Tuesday to drop off ballots at the Central Administration Office, 233 First Ave. E. in Kalispell.

Voters are being asked to approve a $600,000-a-year technology levy for the high schools and a $600,000-a-year technology levy for elementary schools. Both levies, if approved, would run for 10 years.

A three-way trustee race for two elementary positions also is on the ballot in Kalispell. For the high school district representing Helena Flats and Evergreen, there are two candidates for a single trustee position.

Flathead Valley Community College

Seven candidates are running for two Flathead Valley Community College trustee positions representing the Columbia Falls, Bigfork and Whitefish school districts.

Polls will be open at Bethany Lutheran Church in Bigfork from noon to 8 p.m., Canyon School in Hungry Horse from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Glacier Gateway School in Columbia Falls from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., West Glacier Elementary School from noon to 8 p.m. and Whitefish Middle School from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
