North Idaho College President Joe Dunlap announced the hiring of Chris Martin to fill the vacant position of vice president for finance and business affairs.
"Chris' approach to an aggressive strategic vision and efficiency for the campus financial sector won us over," Dunlap said. "His experience in transforming operations into customer service units really resonated. We're anxious for him to join our team."
Martin currently serves as the vice president of finance and administration at Wichita Area Technical College in Wichita, Kan. He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance from Abilene Christian University and an MBA from Amberton University.
"I'm thrilled," Martin said. "I've been impressed with NIC for quite some time now. I'm excited and honored to be a part of a really dynamic team. My family looks forward to becoming a part of the NIC family and the Coeur d'Alene community."
Martin will replace Ron Dorn, who retired as vice president of resource management in January. A nationwide search was conducted, resulting in more than 72 applicants for the position.
