A tour of the new Kalispell Public Schools central kitchen will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13.

The central kitchen, completed in April, was part of a $3.35 million elementary bond request that included construction of eight elementary classrooms to accommodate overcrowding.

Community members are invited to tour the facility located at 106 Northwest Lane and sample district cook Linda Hadley’s popular dinner rolls, which are served at the middle school and two high schools. Hadley’s rolls were the first item to be cooked in the new kitchen.

Tours will be led by Food Service Director Jennifer Montague and her staff.

“We are very excited to show off the new site,” Montague said in a press release. “We’ve invited the board of trustees, Superintendent Darlene Schottle, and just about everyone we can think of to share our gratitude for the safe new site we’ve been enjoying.”
