Twins drop doubleheader with Belgrade

The Glacier Twins A team dropped an American Legion doubleheader with Belgrade on Saturday, May 3, at Memorial Field in Whitefish.

Belgrade won the opener 6-5 despite being out hit by the Twins. The Twins rallied for scores in the third and fourth innings to close the deficit.

Jayce Fagerland went 3 for 3 at the plate with one RBI. Nic Muus tallied a hit and an RBI. Pitcher Jonny Sapa held Belgrade hitless and struck out three in two innings of work.

The Twins jumped out to an early lead in the second game with Belgrade but were unable to hold on and lost 5-2. AJ Wetsch had the Twins’ lone RBI. Colton Gove went 1 for 2 at the plate.

Austin Robbins pitched four innings, allowing four hits and striking out three batters.

The Twins’ doubleheader with the Helena Senators AA on Sunday, May 4, was canceled due to rain.

The Twins host Kootenai Valley on May 14. They play in the Canadian Days Tournament May 16-18 in Kalispell.
