Coeur d'Alene Mayor Steve Widmyer and former Mayor Sandi Bloem went in front of the camera today to tape a public service announcement inviting community members to participate in a survey as part of the Coeur d’Alene 2030 Visioning project.

“The 2020 Community Vision plan established the community's values and goals for the future and laid the groundwork for many successful projects like the Kroc Community Center, public art, downtown revitalization and more public space,” Bloem said, in a press release issued by the city.

Widmyer added, “Much has changed since 2000 and the creation of the successful 2020 Community Vision Plan. That is why, about a year ago, we formed the Coeur d’Alene 2030 Visioning Project, or CDA 2030.”

The next step in the CDA 2030 process is gathering feedback from 179 action items complied by project coordinators over the past year.

From May 9-23, Coeur d'Alene area citizens are being asked to comment on the CDA 2030 action plan by participating in a survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/actionreview.
