Whitefish man killed in high-speed wreck

A 60-year-old Whitefish man died after his car slammed into trees off East Edgewood Drive near Whitefish Thursday night.
Ronnie Taylor was driving his 2006 Corvette at a high speed when he left the roadway, according to Flathead County Sheriff Chuck Curry.
Taylor was wearing a seat belt and died of blunt force trauma.
The crash was not discovered until shortly before 11 p.m. Emergency responders called for Jaws of Life; Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation is being completed by the Montana Highway Patrol.
