One Lakeside. That's evidently the name and address of the controversial 14-story condominium building planned for 1 Lakeside Ave., across the street from the Chamber of Commerce building. Demolition will probably start soon on the 12-unit apartment building there now.
With construction planned to start later this year, One Lakeside will contain 60 luxury units ranging from 750 to 3,400 square feet. Included will be parking, private entries, a fitness center, rooftop pool and commercial components on the ground floor and possibly offices on other lower floors.
The developing company is Austin Lawrence Partners of Aspen, Colo. Check www.alpaspen.com/one-lakeside.php and the Tidbit below.

Upcoming we have Mattress Firm in the Super Supplements mini-mall, Coeur d'Alene Souvenir and Sundry downtown, Theodore's Restaurant in Roosevelt Bed & Breakfast, Uva Trattoria Restaurant at Best and Fourth, the Well-Read Moose Bookstore in Riverstone, Scotty's Auto Body & RV on Seltice Way, Animal Medical Center on Fourth, Metanoia Hot Yoga on Coeur d'Alene Avenue and Stylebar at Government Way and Neider. - The main problem with the One Lakeside condo building is its height. At 14 stories and located on the west end of downtown, it will shade the area.
- "Same exact" is redundant.
- The 107-year-old Hudson's Hamburgers downtown is "sort of" taking more than cash for the first time. No, not credit cards. They installed an ATM.
- A label instruction on a Taiwanese shampoo: "Use repeatedly for severe damage."
