Amos Chon steps up for his first performance as the principle cellist for the Glacier Symphony and Chorale at the final concert of the season with on Sunday, May 11, in Kalispell. Chon sat next to Amy Zoltek during the concert, she had been his first music teacher when he was six years old. The "Ecstatic Sea!" concert featured Symphony No. 1 "A Sea Symphony" by Vaughan Williams with guest soloists Gina Lapka, soprano, and Stephen Kalm, baritone. The next performance for the Glacier Symphony will be the Summer Symphony Pops performance at Rebecca Farm on Saturday, June 28. (Brenda Ahearn/Daily Inter Lake)
