Robert Eugene Moon Sr., 89

Robert Eugene Moon Sr., a longtime resident of Kalispell, passed away following a short illness, on March 19, 2014, in Prescott, Ariz.

Robert was born June 8, 1924 in San Francisco to Virginia and Ben Moon. He moved to Iowa as a child and there met his wife of 70 years, Stella Mae DeAngelo.

Robert served in the U.S. Army and Air Force during World War II and the Korean conflict. 

Robert and Stella retired and moved to Kalispell in 1982 where he enjoyed gardening and bowling.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Stella; his parents, Virginia and Ben; his daughter, Sharon K. (Moon) Miller; and a granddaughter, Mandi Miller.

He is survived by two sons, Gary who resides in Bigfork, and Robert Jr. who lives in Arizona; seven grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
