MATTAWA - Pitcher Seila Jenks threw a shutout in the first game, and pitcher Ashley Valle smacked two home runs in the second game to lead Royal to 21-0 and 15-2 wins against Wahluke on Saturday.

The twin triumphs left the Knights in the SCAC softball race with a 5-5 mark.

Jenks was dominant in the first game. She registered 11 strikeouts in four innings and issued only one walk. She also connected for four hits, including a triple, in four at-bats.

Catcher Carmen Rodriguez went 4-4 with five runs batted in. A. Rodriguez went 3-4 with three RBI. Valle had an inside-the-park home run.

In the second game, Valle pitched a 7-strikeout 3-hitter and blasted two more inside-the-park homers. One of her three hits was a double that turned into a round-tripper because of a Wahluke error.

Flor Araujo had three hits, and McDarra Vonstein, Samantha Buster, H. Larson and T. Freeman had two hits each. Vonstein homered.

J. Delgado had two hits, and D. Silverio and Y. Guzman drove in a run each for Wahluke. Guzman had two stolen bases.
