Washington State Youth Bowlers competed recently in Tacoma at Pacific Lanes.

Lake Bowl had 17 boys and girls compete this weekend. It was a very exciting time for a lot of these bowlers who have never competed in a tournament before. They competed in singles, doubles and team.

They had some outstanding bowling happening this weekend.

Billy Shestock bowled a perfect game of 300 in his doubles event. He ended that series with a 726 scratch. We also had quite a few bowl over their averages. Billy Shestock and Ethan Kendall bowled 25 or more over their average. Milton Gomez bowled 20 over, Liz Bushard and Maddy Garza bowled 15 or more over average, Mikaylah Swanson, Chiarra Hudson and Haley Rogers bowled 10 or more.

We had quite a few bowl at average or 5 over average Ashleigh Hash, Brianna Britton, Kimberly Mulder, Tattaum Johnston, Mathew Barnett, Payton Owen, Danielle Garcia, Hunter Kendall and Kayla Steffler.

We want to congratulate them on an outstanding weekend and look forward to see where they place in the coming weeks.

MOSES LAKE - Lake Bowl Travel Team qualified for the Washington State High School Varsity Championship February 16 and 17 at Acme Bowl in Tukwila. This tournament is one of the longest running tournaments in the nation. The team qualified in first place and is taking three members of the All-Star team Billy Sheestock, Anthony Wood, and Marcella Wood (girls' team) to compete. Other team members not making the trip are Jessica Craig, Kimberly Mulder, Joe O'Brien, Brandon Duzon. This year our team is gunning to take that elusive first-place trophy. The kids have taken second place two years in a row behind Oak Harbor, and are looking to have a chance to compete against them again this year.
