U.S. Rep. Steve Daines will be in Polson on Saturday, May 17, speaking at a brunch organized by the Lake County Republican Women at Polson’s VFW Post 2986, at 423 Main St.

Daines will meet with constituents at 10 a.m. Candidates for other elected offices have also been invited to attend and answer voters’ questions.

Since May 17 is Armed Forces Day, veterans representing all four service groups will make up a special color guard for the occasion.  

Three Polson High School seniors will be honored.

Sharidan Russell was one of two Montana students selected for the U.S. Senate Youth Program. Tel Motichka and Cash Sisler have been accepted to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, both nominated by Daines. Motichka also was selected for the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis.
