The Bigfork Valkyries high school tennis team goes to the divisional tennis tournament Ronan this weekend with three girls seeded in the top eight and both doubles teams seeded in the top four.

Alanis Stallknecht and Brooke Bonner have been a powerful doubles team this season. One of their only losses was to Katie and Kellie Lundin of Troy. Stallknecht and Bonner will likely face them again this weekend.

Stallknecht and Bonner said to beat the Lundin sisters they will have to be aggressive at the net.

The pair played two matches in Whitefish Thursday, winning one match and losing an exhibition. Other girls performed well against Whitefish. Lana Berg and Kayla Casalegno both won their singles matches, while Kalia Wicklund and Alex Hider lost theirs.

The boys do not have a divisional tournament and advance to state automatically. This Saturday they will play in the Best of the West tournament at Mission.

Saturday they played in a tournament in Eureka where doubles teams Adam Jordt and Isaac Martel took fifth and George Gibson and Ben Russell took eleventh.
