NOXON – The Red Devils stormed the field at the Seeley Swan Invite in Missoula, getting one more meet under their belts before the district meet in Polson.
The boys finished in eleventh place with a score of 12 in front of seven other competing teams.
Bradey Wilson was a one-man show at the meet, bringing in most of the points for the boys. Wilson placed first in the 1,600 with 4:53.30 and also placed fifth in the 400 with 54.63.
Austin Johnson lent a helping hand, placing sixth in the 3,200 with a time of 11:33.20.
No statistics were available for the Lady Red Devil team.
After a week off, the Red Devils are now swamped with the rest of the rapidly approaching season. They’ll make their way to the district tournament in Polson on Thursday, May 15. From there the team has divisionals in Missoula on Friday, May 23 and the state competition from May 29-31 in Great Falls.
Now is when their performance matters most. In an individual display of talent, the team will have to compete at their tip-top condition in order to make it further in the meet.
Head Coach Matt Havens is always 100 percent behind his kids and always pushes them to do their best. With the proper preparation, the kids will be ready to perform at full steam.
