Skees for HD5 - a woman of action
Annie Bukacek | Hagadone News Network | UPDATED 11 years, 7 months AGO
Ronalee Skees’ lifestyle is one of dedication to serving others as she adheres to a strong moral compass. She doesn’t just talk pro-life talk; she lives it. She has been a volunteer in crisis pregnancy ministry for 26 years, including in foreign countries, as guest speaker for fundraising, and Hope Pregnancy resource director in the Flathead Valley.
Crisis pregnancy work focuses equally on saving mother and child, loving and ministering to that mother regardless what choice she ultimately makes. Ronalee’s work is listening to and responding to people’s needs. She is a problem solver. She has been a life-skills coach to inner city teens and young adults and has taught GED preparation for girls coming out of prostitution. Her ultimate goal: to teach these troubled girls and women that they have tremendous value, value that no one can diminish or remove. That is the basis for pro-life: the intrinsic value of each precious individual.
Ronalee has been going to Helena during the legislative sessions since 2009 for pro-life and other bills. A courageous woman of action and principle, with a heart of compassion, she also has a sharp intellect and a great understanding of the depth and reasons for our national and state crises. She is precisely the type of person we need in Helena. I urge you to vote for Ronalee Skees in House District 5.

Don't blame the messenger
I read with interest the May 22 letter to the editor by Bill Beck, Bob Brown, et al. They suggest it is character assassination to point out someone’s voting record and testimony. Are people that bring these documented items to light the ones at fault or is it the fault ultimately of the one who voted or testified? Shouldn’t legislators be held accountable?
Blasdel for Senate District 4 - for life and liberty
Republican competitors in Senate District 4, Tammi Fisher and Mark Blasdel, have major ideological differences.
Do not support Zinke or the 'warfare state'
It is no surprise that Ryan Zinke has raised more money than other candidates. Republican candidates for national office who promote relentless wars find financial support. Similarly, Republican warfare state “conservatives” dominate Fox News commentators and are the only “conservative” professors able to get a foothold on college campuses.
