UPDATE: Post Falls man detained as robbery suspect

UPDATE: Post Falls Police has detained Raymond Matthew Alterton, 56, Post Falls, in connection with this morning's alleged bank robbery at Bank of America in Post Falls. Alterton is being interviewed at the Post Falls police station and is expected to be booked into the Kootenai County Jail.
Alterton was stopped on Interstate 90 in Post Falls less than four hours after the alleged robbery. Police are not disclosing how he was located. They said several tips were received after a photo of the suspect was posted on Facebook.
UPDATE: The suspect in this morning's alleged bank robbery at Bank of America in Post Falls has been arrested, according to police.

POST FALLS — Police are seeking a male robbery suspect from this morning's alleged holdup at the Bank of America on Seltice Way in Post Falls.
A white male about 5-foot-6 or 5-foot-7 wearing a baby blue hoody pointed a pistol at bank staff at 10:05 a.m., police said. He left with an undisclosed amount of cash and got into at dark blue 2002 Buick Century with a license plate of K470032. The vehicle left near the Goodwill Industries thrift store the next block over from the bank.
Those with information are urged to call Post Falls Police at 773-3517 or 911. The suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
There were no injuries, police said.
The FBI is assisting Post Falls Police with the investigation.
"We've got some good leads on the case," Post Falls Chief Scot Haug said.
