Challenge win aids food bank

SANDPOINT — The Bonner Community Food Center certainly has a friend in the Sandpoint High School Interact Club.

Not only did the high school group choose to make the food bank the beneficiary of its recent fundraiser, it also donated the organization its $2,500 prize when their efforts won first place in the Spokane Teachers Credit Union Hundred Dollar Project. In both cases, the contributions are much-needed and appreciated, as the food bank is desperately in need of baby supplies, director Alice Wallace said.
