MATTAWA - A Beverly man was injured when the car he was driving rolled on Highway 243, about five miles north of Mattawa on Saturday.
According to the Washington State Patrol, Evaristo Zepeda Garcia, 49, was traveling southbound at about 5 p.m. when he lost control of the car. The 2007 Ford Focus crossed the centerline into traffic.
Garcia overcorrected, the WSP said, and the car rolled. It came to rest on its side 15 feet down an embankment.
Garcia was not wearing his seat belt, the State Patrol said. He was transported by ambulance to Kadlec Medical Center in Richland.
The WSP did not determine immediately if drugs or alcohol were involved. The car was impounded by Davis towing.
