JACC gallery opening tonight

The Jacklin Arts & Cultural Center in Post Falls will host an artist reception today from 5-7 p.m. to mark the opening of a solo gallery show featuring American Indian artist Andrew Morrison. Morrison's works will be exhibited at the JACC, 405 N. William Street, through July 11.
Morrison's art has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in galleries and in private, public and corporate collections throughout the United States. Morrison is the recipient of numerous awards and honors.
He will also be instructing students in the Art of Graffiti at the eighth annual Vision Seekers Workshop at The JACC. This year, the workshop for kids 7 and older, will take place July 18 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The cost is $10 per child.
The Vision Seekers Workshop was created to share, educate, and embrace arts through cultural exchange.
Morrison will create a concept featuring the history of Post Falls, including the JACC building, while teaching the kids how to use acrylic paints in a variety of forms including spray and by brush.

Mama's Wranglers show set for Saturday
Mama's Wranglers will perform Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Jacklin Arts & Cultural Center, 405 N. William St., Post Falls.

Mama's Wranglers -from Las Vegas, Nevada - are the Jackson Family Band & Cloggers formerly known as the Kid Fiddlers. They have performed in 49 states, Canada, and Europe and on average do more than 280 shows a year, The children range in age from 12-23.
